Have you ever gone online and looked at photos of homes for sale? Have you ever wondered why they are so bad? The truth is most agents don’t want to spend the money to get a professional photographer. Sounds strange doesn’t it? Your home is probably the biggest financial investment you have and you are relying on an agent to display it in the best possible light. I am always amazed at the quality of the photos given that the internet is typically the first place a buyer starts their search. They are often dark, dreary and unappealing. Why wouldn’t you want your home to look its absolute best right from the start? People are only going to inquire about a house once they see it online. If the pictures don’t pop they will move on.

I believe so much in this that I will not put a house on the market unless professional photographs have been taken. So, when evaluating an agent think long and hard about how the house is going to be projected to the marketplace. Photographs are an important piece in the process.
