Villanova

Considered the Main Line’s foremost real estate region, Villanova has some of the best public schools and healthcare centers in Pennsylvania. From large country estates to lavish family homes, Villanova offers a stunning residential setting that complements its sophisticated culture. Best known for Villanova University, the town’s vast appeal is its youthful, hip ambiance coupled with its college educated and diverse population.

While Villanova enjoys a great local economy from the university faculty, staff and students, Bryn Mawr Hospital has also built its respected reputation serving the local residents. Located 1.6 miles from the Villanova district line, it is one of three nationally-ranked community teaching hospitals within the Main Line area.

Abundant in history and historical preservation, Villanova’s first residents were the Lenni Lenape Indians. Seeking religious freedom, the area was then settled by Quaker immigrants from Wales. Years later, both residential and business development grew courtesy of the Pennsylvania Railroad. As small communities began to thrive west of Philadelphia, the villages and towns surrounding the railroad stations were given the name “Main Line” as the Pennsylvania Railroad made its way through Villanova in 1832.

Today, this upscale community also offers exceptional dining, cultural events and a wealth of shopping. Preserving the beauty and natural character of Villanova is something the residents strive diligently to maintain. Its beautiful greenways and parks have been lovingly sustained to reflect the area’s strong heritage and commitment to community excellence.
